• When can I enroll my child in a program?


    To apply for TLC Programs please refer to the Parent Portal on the TLC website.

  • When will I find out if my child is enrolled?


    TLC will make every effort to notify parents as soon as possible.  You will receive an email confirmation once your child has been enrolled in a TLC program.

  • What should I submit to complete the registration process?


    While you are applying to register online through the Parent Portal, you can submit the following items in order to complete the registration process and have your child enrolled in the program. If you do not wish to submit online please mail this information to: TLC, 720 Daniels Farm Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611 or email to registration@tlctrumbull.com.

    • CT Health Assessment Form- this is required for all children
    • CT Health Assessment Preschool Form-this is required for all children
    • Copy of your child's medical insurance card; and
    • Application fee of $60 (one child), $30 for each additional child.
  • My child's physical is not scheduled until after March. What should I do?


    If your child’s physical is not scheduled until after March, please upload via the Parent Portal or mail in the most current Health Record you have, and indicate when their next physical is scheduled. School policy dictates that every child must have had the approved immunizations prior to the start of school, and TLC adheres to the same policy. Medical exam forms may be obtained from the school nurse, TLC office, or the TLC Forms Page.

  • When will I owe my first payment?


    When you enroll for the school year program during the school year, you will be billed for your first month at the time of enrollment.  This payment is due prior to your child's start date in the TLC program.

    Prior to the start of the school year you will receive an invoice on June 1st with the September program fees along with any fees for additional days in August.  This payment will need to be made by August 1 to ensure your child's start date in a TLC program.

    Please be aware that there is a Freeze Period from  August 1st thru September 14th. Any enrollments or change requests received during this time will be processed as soon as possible after September 14th.

    Throughout the school year, all invoices are sent out the 1st of each month.  Monthly payments are due by the 15th of the month.

     

     

     

  • Can I pay by credit or debit card?


    Yes. TLC accepts MasterCard, Visa, or Discover credit card. Sorry, but TLC does not accept Amex. Debit cards with the Visa or MasterCard logo on the card can also be accepted. All payments can be made online through the TLC Parent Portal.  

    If you choose not to pay online you can still stop into the main office or call TLC to make a payment on Tuesday and Thursday between 11-3. TLC's main office is located at 720 Daniels Farm Rd. in Trumbull. The main office phone number is 203-452-9626 Ext 1003. Please note that credit card payments and checks can not be accepted at your child's center.

     

  • What do I do if my child is not accepted?


    You will have the option of being placed on the TLC waiting list or receiving your application fee back and finding alternate care. If you are placed on a waiting list, you will be informed of an opening when and if one becomes available. Info-Line, (800) 505-1000, can also assist you in locating alternative licensed family daycare facilities.

  • If my child's schedule changes, how do I let TLC know?


    If you need to reduce or add to your child's schedule before school begins, please log into the Parent Portal via the TLC website, www.tlctrumbull.com and request a change under the Program of your choice. Adding days to your child's schedule is based on availability at the time.

    In order to have accurate attendance information for the start of school, no schedule changes will be made between August 1, and September 13. 

    All schedule change requests will take at least two weeks to process.

  • What if I need to withdraw my child from a TLC Program?


    If your child will be attending the TLC Elementary or Preschool program for the 2022-2023 School Year, you agree to make your request to withdraw your child/children via the TLC Parent Portal by July 22, 2022 via the TLC Parent Portal. 

    If your child will attend TLC Camp all final camp schedule changes and or withdrawals need to be received via the TLC Parent Portal by Friday, May 12, 2023. After May 12, 2023, you are financially responsible for and promise to pay all program fees for the days you have enrolled your child in camp, whether they attend or not. Exceptions will only be made for medical reasons, validated by a Doctor's note submitted to the TLC office, or if TLC is able to find another child to fill those slots.

    Any other requests to withdraw your child throughout the school year need to be submitted TWO WEEKS in advance via the TLC Parent Portal.

  • What is the Fun Zone Center?


    This program is currently closed for the 2022-2023 School Year.

    The Fun Zone is TLC-owned space which enables TLC to provide more appropriate after-school programming for 4th and 8th graders. The Fun Zone Center is located directly behind Daniels Farm School. Only 4th through 8th grade students from participating schools are bused to the Fun Zone Center. Students from non-participating schools may attend a TLC Program located at their school. 

  • My child has allergies/asthma. Can TLC handle this?


    State Licensing requires TLC staff to be trained to administer Epi-pens, Inhalers & Benadryl. A TLC Medical Authorization Form must be completed for each type of medicine that might need to be kept at TLC. The TLC office and center staffs will do their best to make you comfortable and confident that your child is well cared for.

  • Does TLC offer financial assistance?


    TLC will do our best to try to offer assistance to families through the TLC Financial Aid Program for families that demonstrate financial need. For additional information please speak to our Finance Department, at (203) 452-9626 Ext 1003. Your inquiry and information will be treated in confidence.

     

  • Is TLC open during school holidays?


    TLC follows the school calendar with a few exceptions. We are open on the single school holidays during which the children have no school but most parents work. If you want your child to spend the day at TLC on a school holiday or during the vacation weeks, you must register your child. There is an extra charge for each single day holiday and recess week that your child attends. Emails are sent throughout the school year to notify you of these days along with instructions on how to register. The dates that TLC will offer additional care is also posted on the home page of the website.

  • How can I get copies of my monthly/yearly statements for tax purposes?
